PAYMENT

At the moment, I am only accepting Interac e-transfer or cash payments. Payment via Interac e-transfer can be sent to d_ogrady@hotmail.ca. If a password is required, please use: furbellies1 (all lower case).

DURATION OF GROOM

I cannot guarantee how long the grooming session will be. Please expect the sessions to range anywhere from 2-4 hours, depending on various factors. I provide updates via text/call during the groom. I work carefully and diligently but I do not rush the groom for any reason. In some cases, it may be necessary for your pet’s well-being to do the groom in two sessions.

CONTRACT

All clients are required to fill out a questionnaire and sign a contract before the grooming session commences.

SEVERE MATTING

I get it…some pets hate being brushed and life gets busy sometimes. No judgement here! Please know that shaving out matting can be a long process and hard on the pet. It takes extra care on the groomer’s part and your pet may require several breaks. For this reason, a matting fee is usually added for matted or pelted pets. I promise to work with you by keeping your pet on a routine grooming schedule based on their unique needs, and will give you lots of tips and tricks to maintain your pet between grooms. We can come up with a grooming plan to keep your pet happy and your grooming costs down!

IMPORTANT!!

  1. The prices listed on the Services page are approximate prices only. Prices may vary based on your pet’s size, condition of the coat (such as bad matting), and pets temperament. A more accurate price will be provided after a quick assessment upon your arrival. Grooming will not begin until both parties have agreed to the price. I will inform you of any changes during the groom before proceeding.

  2. At Fur Bellies, I guarantee the highest level of regard for your pet’s safety. It is important to know that accidents do happen even if everything is done correctly to avoid them. Animals can be unpredictable in their movements and behaviours, and tools such as shears and clippers are used during the groom. I am not responsible for vet bills or other related expensed should your pet get injured during the groom.

  3. It is not uncommon for redness and itchy skin to occur after a shave or de-matting. Some pets may have sensitive skin and in rare cases, some products may cause mild irritation. Do not be alarmed as this will go away within a day or two. Please inform me of any issues with your pet, such as: known allergies, arthritis, medical conditions, behavioral issues, or anything you feel that may be important for me to know prior to the grooming session.

  4. In very rare cases, a session may have to be stopped: a) if the session is too stressful for your pet, b) the condition or health of your pet’s skin or coat makes it too painful to proceed, c)if your pet’s temperament puts theirs or my safety at risk. A percentage of the grooming cost will be refunded. The safety of your pet is my top priority.

  5. I do not provide grooming services for pets with fleas in my shop. A visit to your home will be required to do the groom. Please contact me for more information on this.
